🔹 Scope of the Journal

PMJ welcomes high-quality manuscripts that reflect the clinical, academic, and scientific progress in all disciplines of medicine. The journal prioritizes original research, review articles, case reports, and expert opinions relevant to clinical practice, especially in rural and semi-urban healthcare settings.

📌 Types of Manuscripts Accepted

1. Original Research Articles – Structured studies with proper methodology and statistical analysis.
   
   

2. Review Articles – Comprehensive overviews on clinical topics, written by subject experts.
   
   

3. Case Reports / Case Series – Interesting and educational clinical cases with relevant discussion.
   
   

4. Short Communications – Brief but impactful findings or observations.
   
   

5. Letters to the Editor – Constructive academic discussions, feedback, or observations.
   
   

6. Editorials / Commentaries – Invited articles on relevant or emerging medical issues.
   
   

7. Clinical Images – Rare clinical photographs with brief explanations (max 300 words).
   
   

📄 Manuscript Submission Guidelines

All manuscripts must be submitted via email to:

Each submission must include:

• Cover letter with declaration of originality
  
  

• Manuscript file in MS Word (doc/docx) format
  
  

• Tables, figures, and graphs (with captions) in separate files if applicable
  
  

• Authorship and conflict of interest declaration form (format available on journal website)
  
  

🧾 Manuscript Format

1. Title Page:

• Title of the article
  
  

• Names of authors (full names), designations, affiliations
  
  

• Corresponding author details (email, phone, postal address)
  
  

2. Abstract:

• Structured (for research): Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion (max 250 words)
  
  

• Unstructured (for case reports and reviews)
  
  

3. Keywords: 3–6 keywords (MeSH preferred)

4. Main Text:

• Original Articles: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion
  
  

• Case Reports: Introduction, Case Description, Discussion, Conclusion
  
  

• Use standard medical headings and subheadings
  
  

• Font: Times New Roman, Size 12, Line spacing 1.5
  
  

5. References:

• Follow Vancouver Style
  
  

• Use superscript numbers in the text (e.g., “…as previously described¹.”)
  
  

• Reference software like Zotero or Mendeley is encouraged
  
  

📊 Tables & Figures

• Numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2)
  
  

• Mention each in the main text
  
  

• Attach high-resolution images (300 dpi) in JPG/PNG format
  
  

• Include legends/captions below figures or tables
  
  

🔏 Ethical Guidelines

• All original research must mention ethics committee approval and informed consent (if applicable)
  
  

• Any form of plagiarism, data manipulation, or duplicate publication will lead to rejection and blacklisting
  
  

• PMJ follows the guidelines of ICMJE and COPE for publication ethics
  
  

⚠️ Conflict of Interest & Funding

• Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts
  
  

• Mention funding sources, if any
  
  

⏳ Peer Review & Processing

• All articles are subjected to double-blind peer review
  
  

• Editorial decisions may include acceptance, minor/major revision, or rejection
  
  

• Time to first decision: 2–3 weeks on average
  
  

💰 Publication Charges

Currently, PMJ does not charge any publication or submission fees.
We aim to encourage knowledge sharing without financial barriers.

📢 Copyright & Licensing

• Upon acceptance, authors will be asked to sign a Copyright Transfer Form
  
  

• PMJ holds the rights for online publication
  
  

• Articles will be made available open access on the journal website
